Sailing the Australian Coast Aboard the Scenic Eclipse II
We boarded our ship at the Rocks Harbour in Sydney, right across from the Opera House. What a stunning view from my cabin across the bay!
It was a perfect day, and the water in the harbour sparkled. We set sail on our adventure, navigating under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and out to sea to reach our next port, Newcastle.
We spent the day exploring what is now quite a large city.
The theme of the cruise was the Islands of Australia, and we visited many that I hadn’t heard of before. The zodiacs were well used to ferry us to and from the sandy beaches, and this was an adventure in itself.
The ship is amazing, and the staff are wonderful. Dining is another experience – one night at the French restaurant Lumiere, the next at Kokos Asian Fusion, or Elements for à la carte.
The choices were many, and you couldn’t fault any of the meals under the watchful eye of Head Chef Tom.
